Lupines! Lupines! Lupines!

This is my 3rd year spending time enjoying the lupine fields in Sugar Hill NH with my mother and we loved every minute of it.

We were quite sad last year when the unexpected spring frost killed off a lot of the just blooming flowers. But the lupines made a definite comeback this year, and the fields were full of color!

There is a popular field that I love to stop at and enjoy the view of not only the beautiful flowers, but also a wonderful view of the White Mountains. From this field you can look out over the purple, blue, and pink lupines gently waving in the breeze with Mt. Cannon and the northern peaks in Franconia Notch in the background. It is truly a stunning vista.

After wandering through the field taking pictures (including taking several minutes chasing down a chonky bumblebee) it was nice to stand and just take some time to enjoy the view. Relaxing and taking in the waving lupines, the blue sky, and the tall mountains.

And of course, we had to end our weekend at Polly's Pancake Parlor. Great view, food, and service every time we've been there. One of our favorite places to eat! (Be prepared to wait though if you don't beat the crowds. This is a popular place to eat for a reason)
